Integrated Sustainability and Research Initiatives Foundation (ISRI) is a Section 8 non-profit company registered in India. We exist to close the gap between global sustainability standards and the reality of smallholder production.
Who we are
ISRI works at the intersection of farmer livelihoods, supply chain transparency and responsible sourcing — across agriculture, aquaculture and forestry.
Our mandate covers the segment from farm to first point of processing, where the majority of sustainability risks originate and where intervention has the greatest effect on both people and ecosystems.
We are not a certification body, an auditing firm or a standards-setting organisation. We are an implementation partner — building the systems, capacities and data infrastructure that let smallholder producers participate meaningfully in responsible supply chains.

Approach
Three principles that shape our delivery
Standards-agnostic
We do not promote any single certification. Our systems support compliance with any framework — RSPO, FSC, PEFC, Rainforest Alliance, Better Cotton, ASC, BAP, EUDR or proprietary buyer codes.
Farm-to-processing scope
We focus exclusively on the segment where implementation gaps are most acute, risks are highest and data is hardest to collect.
Systems-based delivery
Not one-off projects. Field teams, digital tools, institutional strengthening and data infrastructure combined into one model that can be sustained and scaled.

Governance
A Board of Directors with backgrounds in sustainability, development finance, agriculture and non-profit management provides oversight. ISRI maintains full financial transparency and complies with all Section 8 company requirements under the Companies Act, 2013.
Headquartered in Hyderabad, India, with initial operations across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The delivery model is designed for replication across South and Southeast Asia.
